NARROWBOAT EXPERIENCE DAYS

Narrowboating is a peaceful and leisurely way to enjoy our British waterways and is a pastime which can be enjoyed by all members of the family no matter what age you are.

Our Narrowboat Experience days are designed to give you a taste of life on a narrowboat and are ideal for anyone considering hiring or buying a boat or for those who just want to enjoy a leisurely day out watching the world go by.

Apart from enjoying the scenery you will also have the opportunity to do some basic boat handling and learn how a Narrowboat works. We will teach you some common boating terms, how to handle a rope and moor up securely. Depending on the route you may also have the opportunity of learning how to navigate through a lock. The day is extremely informal and everyone mucks in together.

You have the choice of either bringing your own picnic (and wine!) or we can moor up near a riverside pub if you prefer. We do provide tea/coffee during the day.

The Experience Day  starts at 10am and finishes around 4pm and can be held either midweek or at weekends. Please call us for availability and to discuss your individial requirement.
